You may be used to eating raspberries that are red or red-purple. Did you know there is a gold variety? This variety is called Double Gold and it is light yellow or orange when ripe.
We planted these along with some Red raspberries (the cultivar is called “Red”) as well as with some Crimson Night raspberries. So, we have raspberries of all colors in our garden. It is great to have some variety. I heard from my sister that some varieties cannot be planted together, and she put together this variety for me, so I encourage you to do your research before planting different types of raspberries in your garden.
